Job summary

Hextronics is seeking a junior to mid-level full stack engineer to build and maintain software powering our drone operations platform. You will work across the stack—from database design to React interfaces—contributing to systems that control real hardware in the field.

The role involves collaborating with hardware and robotics teams, writing clean, tested code, and participating in code reviews to uphold engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 1–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python for backend development.
• Experience building UIs with React.
• Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
• Strong fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full stack features across our web applications using Python and React.
• Design and manage relational database schemas, queries, and migrations.
• Collaborate with hardware and robotics teams to surface drone control to real-time web interfaces.
• Write clean, tested, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Debug issues across the full stack in a fast-moving environment.
• Work well with Artificial Intelligence to maximize functional output.
