Job summary

Hextronics is seeking a junior to mid-level full stack engineer to build and maintain software powering our drone operations platform. You will work across the stack—from database design to React interfaces—contributing to systems that control real hardware in the field.

The role involves collaborating with hardware and robotics teams, writing clean, tested code, and participating in code reviews to uphold engineering standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1–5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Python for backend development.
  • Experience building UIs with React.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
  • Strong fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, REST APIs.

Responsibilities

About Hextronics

Hex is building the infrastructure for on-demand aerial data. We design and manufacture drone-in-a-box systems that automate repetitive drone operations, taking humans out of the loop so the people who depend on aerial data can move faster. We're a small, agile team, we move fast, take on extreme ownership, and build products in months, not years.

The Role

We're looking for a junior or mid-level full stack engineer to help build and maintain the software powering our drone operations platform. You'll work across the stack - from database design to React interfaces - contributing to systems that control real hardware in the real world.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain full stack features across our web applications using Python and React
  • Design and manage relational database schemas, queries, and migrations
