Job summary

Fluke is seeking a Software Design Engineer to grow full-stack enterprise applications, using Python (Django), React, Java EE, and more, with AWS cloud and on-premises infrastructure. You will support legacy apps and build new features for a growing, worldwide user base.

As part of a small team, you will migrate to containers, microservices, and DevOps, while promoting best practices and direct collaboration with end users and IT. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in computer science, information technologies, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of full-stack web development with DevOps and best practices including design patterns, OOD, CI/CD, and testing.
• Strong proficiency with Python, Django and React.
• Java/JEE experience.
• Experience with Cloud and/or Container development using Docker and AWS.
• Experience with RDBMS development (PostgreSQL a plus).
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn and provide primary support for legacy web and local applications (Python, REACT, Java, C#).
• Develop a wide variety of new full-stack, i18n web-based applications.
• Research, develop, and implement improvements to AWS-based and on-premises infrastructure.
• Migrate toward Containers and Cloud Service architecture, microservices, DevOps, and SCADA integration.
• Champion software development best practices for other developers.
• Interact with end users to identify improvements and enhancements to services.
• Coordinate with IT and other functional groups as needed.
