NxT Level in the Bay Area seeks a Full-Stack / Backend Engineer to unify fragmented construction systems behind a single API and data model. You’ll build integrations with legacy systems and scale a platform handling millions of API requests daily.

We value candidates with strong backend or full-stack skills, experience with TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, CDK, and modern cloud infrastructure, and a willingness to ship quickly while collaborating closely with customers and founders.

Qualifications

• 1–10 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong backend or full-stack capability.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS.
• Strong systems thinking and comfort with ambiguity.
• High ownership, low ego, and a bias toward shipping.
• Exceptional new grads with strong internships, co-ops, or projects may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Unify dozens of fragmented construction systems behind one clean API and data model.
• Build integrations with legacy and on-prem systems that may have limited APIs or documentation.
• Scale a platform handling millions of API requests per day.
• Improve performance, caching, reliability, testing, and observability.
• Build customer-facing products that run on top of the company’s own APIs.
• Ship production code quickly and work directly with customers and founders.
