Job summary

Cenergistic is seeking a software engineer in Dallas to contribute to Optimize, our energy analysis SaaS platform. You will work across web apps, mobile apps, admin tools, and backend services, delivering features end to end.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of professional software development experience, strong React/Node.js skills, and familiarity with AI coding agents. This is an on-site, five-day work week with no relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building web applications across web/mobile with a backend and frontend.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and ship features end to end: API, data model, web UI and mobile UI as needed.
• Work in the Node.js/TypeScript backend used by all apps.
• Build and maintain React front ends.
• Write automated tests and maintain test suites.
• Use AI coding agents to plan, write, refactor and test code.
• Review agent output with the same care as a colleague's PR.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement and code review.
• Collaborate with Platform Architect, UX designer, and QA engineers.
• Investigate and fix production issues escalated by product support.
