Job summary

GLS Germany is seeking a software engineer to translate product ideas into deployable code using modern standards. You will design, develop, and integrate event-driven microservices that optimize delivery decisions based on parcel and consignee data.

Join an international agile team and help shape cloud-native solutions deployed on AWS with Kubernetes and Docker. A strong focus on code quality, automated testing, and observability is expected.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science/engineering or comparable.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservice-based architecture.
• Practical experience with AWS and cloud-based deployment models with Kubernetes, Docker and Helm.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Frontend development experience, preferably with Angular.
• Strong quality mindset with experience in automated testing and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging solutions.
• You use AI tooling on a daily basis.
• You are a team player, who enjoys sharing your knowledge and always looks for a good solution for the team, product and company.
