Job summary

Quindar is seeking a backend/DevOps engineer to develop ground satellite operations software using Python and AWS. You will build APIs, integrate with AWS services, and focus on scalability, security, cost, and performance while supporting mission-critical software for government and Quindar’s core product.

This hybrid role requires 2 days in office in Irvine, CA or Arvada, CO with generous PTO, health insurance, retirement matching, and quarterly offsites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of backend development, DevOps, or related role.
• Active US Security Clearance (TS/SCI).

Responsibilities

• Develop ground satellite operations software using Python and AWS.
• Build APIs and integrate with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Fargate, EKS).
• Work across backend and frontend to support government missions and Quindar’s core product.
• Focus on scalability, security, cost, and performance of software.
