Eighty20 Collective is seeking a highly skilled software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain full‑stack applications in a cloud‑native environment. You will build modern web apps, REST APIs, and microservices leveraging AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship, with a strong background in secure coding, RMF/STIGs, and agile teams. In-person, full‑time, Chantilly, VA with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain and sustain a polygraph.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or Master's with 2–6 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go.
• Experience with modern front-end or back-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, Spring Boot, Node.js, Django, Flask).
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience with AWS or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Comfort with Agile environments (JIRA, Confluence).
• Understanding of software architecture, OO design, and secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with RMF, STIGs, or other government security standards.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing needs.
• Preferred: UI/UX and responsive web development, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, IaC tools (Terraform/Ansible), AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, SQS/SNS, CloudFormation), GovCloud or C2S, Intelligence Community or Federal Government背景, geospatial tech (GeoServer, PostGIS, OGC APIs, Esri ArcGIS).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications.
• Build modern web applications, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle.
• Work in Agile Scrum teams.
• Collaborate with product owners, mission users, engineers, architects, and stakeholders.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Conduct code reviews and champion clean, maintainable software.
• Troubleshoot production issues and fix defects.
• Mentor junior developers and drive continuous improvement.
