Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Full Stack Software Engineer within the Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) team to design, develop, and maintain internal apps and tools. You will join the AppSec Platform Engineering group to build capabilities that enhance security maturity and streamline operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; required years vary by degree
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript for backend/frontend
• Experience building secure full-stack apps with REST APIs and databases
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and velocity
• Familiarity with secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10)
• Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD, and IaC
• Experience deploying production apps on cloud and container platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications, internal tools, and APIs for security program management, including vulnerability tracking and data aggregation
• Build and support applications to improve efficiency of core processes (planning, tracking, headcount)
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation
• Use CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and deploy solutions
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities for intelligent alerting and anomaly detection
• Write clean, secure code across backend and frontend
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into technical specs
• Participate in code reviews and enforce engineering standards
• Prioritize backlog and communicate status to stakeholders
• Adhere to corporate development standards including security and quality requirements
