Job summary

Thorben Consulting, LLC seeks a Full-Stack Engineer – AI/ML Applications to advance an AI-powered IDP platform. You’ll own the complete user experience from React/Next.js interfaces to backend API/BFF services, delivering end-to-end product capabilities in a secure, high-performance environment.

The role emphasizes building production-ready apps, real-time data handling, and deep integration with AI workflows while complying with DoD security baselines.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a US Citizen.
• Active Top Secret security clearance (must already possess).
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Experience building production web applications with TypeScript and a modern React framework (React/Next.js).
• Experience building and operating backend services or APIs (e.g., FastAPI, Node).
• Experience with real-time or streaming interfaces (Server-Sent Events, WebSockets, or equivalent).
• Experience with automated testing at the unit and end-to-end level (e.g., Jest, Playwright).
• Experience diagnosing defects across the stack using logs and traces.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product capabilities from UI to backend services.
• Connect front-end components to real-time SSE pipelines and APIs.
• Design platform features such as persistent chat, notifications, and trace exploration.
• Lead development of dashboards for document processing workflows and QA.
• Ensure secure development practices in DoD IL5/IL6 environments.
