Job summary

Thorben Consulting, LLC is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to build AI/ML-powered IDP solutions with React/Next.js on the frontend and robust backend APIs. You’ll own end-to-end features from UI through streaming SSE pipelines to backend services, delivering production-ready, secure software for DoD-classified environments.

The role emphasizes user-centric design, real-time processing, and deep integration with identity providers and monitoring platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; experience may substitute
• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• US Citizenship and Top Secret clearance (must already possess)
• Experience with TypeScript and React/Next.js in production
• Experience building backend services/APIs consumed by frontend
• Experience with real-time interfaces (SSE/WebSockets) and event-driven patterns
• Strong testing mindset (unit and end-to-end) and debugging across the stack
• Familiarity with DoD security baselines and STIG compliance

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product capabilities across frontend, SSE pipelines, and backend services
• Design and enhance features like persistent chat, notification frameworks, and tool-call interactions
• Develop interfaces for AI/IDP workflows and document processing dashboards
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and deployment in secure environments
• Ensure tests, traces, and metrics demonstrate changes are production-ready
• Integrate with identity providers, observability tools, and monitoring stacks
• Work within IL5/IL6 classified environments following DoD guidelines
• Support GenAI IDP with prompt engineering and model evaluation dashboards
