Job summary

Benchling, the AI platform for biotech R&D, is seeking a Software Engineer for the Enterprise Lifecycle team. You will own end-to-end features in audit, export, and document lifecycle areas to help regulated customers meet safety and compliance requirements.

You will design scalable backend systems and APIs for cloud-based web apps, with opportunities to contribute frontend work and mentor junior engineers while collaborating across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience delivering multi-sprint projects end-to-end.
• Strong backend/API skills for cloud-based web apps.
• Willingness to work in regulated, enterprise B2B SaaS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver features and systems across audit coverage, export systems, document lifecycle management, and regulatory workflows.
• Own end-to-end delivery of significant projects—from planning to deployment and monitoring.
• Design technical solutions for open-ended problems, collaborating with senior engineers on larger efforts.
• Write well-documented, well-tested code following company best practices and refactors.
• Participate actively in code reviews and provide actionable feedback.
