Pearson, Montpelier, VT, seeks a Software Engineer to analyze, design, implement, test, and ensure quality of software solutions. You will help build a new platform using a new tech stack and processes from the ground up.

You will rapidly learn new tools and domains (data science, psychometrics) and adopt modern processes (LLM codegen, agentic AI). You’ll own functionality end-to-end and contribute across the stack.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent technology discipline, or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and domains (R, data science, agentic AI cloud applications).
• 3-5 years relevant full-stack software development experience.
• Experience with development, maintenance, and testing of software following industry best practices.
• Experience with highly available, highly concurrent cloud-based Web applications.
• GitHub and GitHub-driven CI/CD.

• Develop and support a new web application stack.
• Leverage and refine LLM-codegen processes to balance agility and quality.

• Work closely with customers and adapt tools to their needs.
