Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to analysis, design, implementation, unit testing, and quality engineering for a new platform using a modern stack and cloud-based services. You will own features, learn new tools (R, agentic AI) and collaborate with customers to tailor tools and processes while delivering scalable, secure software on AWS.

You will participate in design reviews, write clear documentation, and contribute to quality through automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent on-the-job training is required.
• 3-5 years relevant full-stack software development experience.
• Experience with highly available, highly concurrent cloud-based Web applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support a new web application stack.
• Refine LLM-codegen processes for agility and quality.
• Develop and leverage agent-driven AI architectures.
• Work with customers to tailor tools to their needs.
• Develop psychometrics and data science tools in R.
• Operate, extend and create cloud-based solutions in AWS.
• Write maintainable, high-quality code with best practices.
• Learn new processes, tools, and business domains quickly.
