Job summary

InHouse is seeking a mid-level software engineer to build features across our spatial commerce platform, from resident-facing interfaces to backend services and workflow logic that powers our visualization engine. This hands-on role involves shipping end-to-end functionality and collaborating with Product, Design, and Ops to evolve the product.

You'll work across a wide surface, contributing to UI updates, data models, debugging, reliability improvements, and new feature development as we bring

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in React + TypeScript.
• Experience building backend APIs in Node, Python, or a similar language.
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL / SQL, data modeling, and API contracts.
• Familiarity with testing, CI/CD, and modern development workflows.
• Ability to independently deliver features and improve existing systems.
• Strong product intuition and comfort working with designers and PMs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features in React/TypeScript across our resident shopping experience.
• Implement backend API endpoints, data models, and integrations using Node/Python + Postgres/Supabase.
• Deliver end-to-end functionality, ensuring correctness, performance, and usability.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to ship experiments and improve conversion, activation, and retention metrics.
• Improve developer workflows, deployment automation, and testing coverage.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team-wide engineering practices.
• Contribute to documentation and help extend internal tools that support our visualization engine.
