Job summary

Plug Consulting LLC in New York is seeking a seasoned platform engineer to own the full product lifecycle across a rapidly scaling AI platform. You will shape technical direction and collaborate with cross-functional partners.

Requirements include 3–10 years of full-stack product or platform engineering, hands-on AI and cloud experience, strong communication, and a founder-minded, high-agency mindset. On-site in NY twice weekly is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of full-stack product or platform engineering experience.
• Proven track record of owning product decisions and shipping end-to-end without hand-holding.
• Experience with full-stack and AI development, modern web frameworks, cloud infrastructure, LLMs.
• Exceptional communication poise and ability to earn trust with internal stakeholders across teams.
• High-agency, founder-minded mindset in early-stage environments.
• Recognizable startup experience (Seed–Series C) or strong technical background preferred.
• Tech stack includes Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS, ECS, RDS, ElastiCache, EC2, Docker, Playwright, GitHub Actions, Claude Code, Codex.
• Willingness to be onsite in NY twice a week.

Responsibilities

• Owning the full development lifecycle: discovery, build, ship, debug in production, and live iteration
• Exercising strong product judgment to translate internal stakeholder feedback into clear build decisions
• Partnering with internal teams to gather requirements, run sessions, and drive scope independently
• Synthesizing lessons across portfolio companies to scale wins across the platform
• Working with leadership on immediate engineering needs and long-term platform strategy
• Navigating data sensitivity and regulatory constraints as part of shipping
