Job description

Our client, a cutting-edge renewable energy company based in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful, mission-driven projects that support the clean energy transition. You’ll play a key role in developing and scaling web applications that support the company’s energy optimization, forecasting, and management platforms. The position can be remote from within the United States for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable front-end and back-end solutions using modern web technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data science, firmware, and product to build innovative software tools
• Optimize application performance and scalability across distributed systems
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with strong attention to security and data integrity
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full stack

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of full stack development experience in production environments
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Strong grasp of software development principles, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience in the renewable energy, energy storage, or IoT space
• Familiarity with data visualization tools or time-series data processing
• Background in working with microservices or serverless architectures
