Job summary

Wilcore Technologies is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern web applications supporting mission-critical initiatives for the Department of Veterans Affairs. You will work across the full technology stack in an Agile environment with product managers, designers, engineers, and government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in full stack development.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and Git workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Understanding of accessibility best practices and web standards (WCAG, Section 508).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in Agile environments.
• Bonus qualifications: prior experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs or federal agencies.
• Familiarity with JSON Schema Form libraries (e.g., react-jsonschema-form).
• Knowledge of VA.gov architecture and building forms on VA.gov.
• Experience with automated testing and 508 scanning tools (Axe, pa11y).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack web applications and APIs.

• Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Ensure applications comply with federal accessibility, security, and quality standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to development processes and architecture.

What you’ll bring:

4+ years of experience in full stack development

• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and Git workflows
• Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
