About Us
We're building the future of hotel software — an AI-Native Hotel OS that is redefining how hotels operate. We're replacing fragmented, clunky legacy systems and bloated back-office teams with an intelligent, unified platform. We've already proven strong product-market pull and have a fast-growing customer base across the US, Canada, and Mexico.
We're a seed stage company backed by Tier 1 investors (led by Bessemer Venture Partners), and moving quickly to define a new category in one of the world's largest verticals.
About the role
We're hiring a full-stack engineer to join our founding engineering team. We lean heavily on AI tools to ship a lot of product, fast, and we have a substantial roadmap ahead of us. You'll work directly with the founders, own products and systems end to end, from ambiguous problem to shipped, reliable feature, and depending on the candidate, this role can evolve into an engineering leadership role quickly.
What you'll do:
- Ship across the full codebase: backend, frontend, integrations, and AI systems
- Architect and scale the platform as we expand into the full hotel operating system
- Help set the standards for reliability, security, observability, and engineering quality
- TypeScript across the entire stack
- Backend: NestJS with PostgreSQL and TypeORM
- Frontend: React and Next.js with Tailwind CSS
- AI: Anthropic and OpenAI models via the Vercel AI SDK, voice with ElevenLabs, agentic workflows in production
- Infra: AWS and Vercel, Stripe for billing
You don't need experience with every item on this list. Strong TypeScript and modern web fundamentals matter most; the rest can be learned here.
Experience
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, or an equivalent rigorous CS background
- 1–3+ years building and owning full-stack web apps end to end
- Prior startup or founding engineer experience is a strong plus
Who You Are
- Fluent in modern product engineering. You have built and operated production software using contemporary web, cloud, and data technologies. You learn unfamiliar systems quickly, stay current with the evolving technology landscape, and make pragmatic decisions about when to adopt, replace, or simplify tools.
- AI-native in how you build. You are highly effective with AI-assisted and agentic development tools and know how to use them to improve engineering speed, quality, and leverage, not simply generate more code. You can establish thoughtful practices around context management, testing, code review, security, documentation, evaluation, and human oversight.
- Comfortable at the earliest stages. You operate well with ambiguity, move quickly, and know when to introduce structure without slowing the team down.
- An owner. You take a business problem and run with it, delivering high-quality solutions without micromanagement or granular requirements. Scrappy, resourceful, and proactive.
- A strong communicator. You can articulate technical decisions and tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders, in writing and in person.
AI Systems Experience
We're looking for someone who understands that production AI systems require more than model access and prompt engineering. Strong candidates will have experience with several of the following:
- Building and evaluating LLM-powered agents and workflows
- Agent orchestration, tool use, retrieval, and context management
- Human-in-the-loop systems, permissions, guardrails, and failure recovery
- Observability, debugging, testing, and versioning for AI systems
- Managing the cost, latency, and reliability of nondeterministic systems
- Measuring the product and business impact of AI-powered workflows
Nice to Have
- Shipping AI-native products in real production environments
- Fast-growing startup experience: ship-fast culture, low bug tolerance, high ownership
- Vertical SaaS, marketplace, or workflow software experience
- Complex integrations and data-heavy systems
- Hospitality, travel, or adjacent industry experience
What we offer
- Founding team role — a key part of the technical team, with a front-row seat to how a top venture-backed, AI-native vertical SaaS company gets built
- Meaningful equity and a competitive salary
- Top-tier health coverage — medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Room to grow — leadership opportunities as you build skills and experience
- Autonomy and direct impact — technical ownership of the entire codebase and real influence on product direction and architecture
- Company perks — lunch and fitness stipends, complimentary snacks, and weekly happy hours
Location
This role is four to five days a week in person in New York City and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
