Senior Full-Stack Engineer — AI Workflows & Engineering Automation

About Revley

The next generation of businesses will run on AI agents. We’re building the platform that makes that possible.

Revley is building a vertically integrated commerce platform spanning storefronts, funnels, checkout, payments, subscriptions, sales, and support. Bringing the stack together gives agents the data, context, and tools to execute meaningful work across a business.

We’re headquartered in Manhattan, bootstrapped, profitable, and past $3M ARR, with a seed round planned later this year. Our largest merchant processes $20M per month. Our infrastructure already connects processors including Stripe, Adyen, Airwallex, and Braintree.

We’re applying the same ambition internally: building an engineering team whose entire development process gets faster and better through AI.

The Role

Your mission is to multiply the team’s engineering output through AI, from the first feature idea to a reliable production release.

You’ll design, implement, and continuously improve how our team uses AI across product scoping, development, bug investigation, task assignment, code review, testing, deployment, and monitoring. You’ll connect these stages into a working system the whole team can use, while continuing to ship product yourself.

You may have been a startup CTO, technical lead, founding engineer, or individual contributor with significant ownership. Your title matters less than your ability to build, introduce better ways of working, and get a team using them effectively.

We want someone who follows the frontier of AI development, experiments constantly, and has the judgment to turn promising capabilities into dependable workflows.

Payments experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

What You’ll Do

Build our AI-powered development process

• Turn feature ideas and customer feedback into clear specifications, implementation plans, and well-scoped engineering tasks using AI.
• Build workflows for bug intake, reproduction, investigation, prioritization, and routing to the right engineer or agent.
• Set up coding agents with the repository context, documentation, tools, permissions, and environments they need to work effectively.
• Connect our issue tracker, repositories, CI/CD, testing tools, documentation, and production monitoring so work moves smoothly between stages.
• Automate repeatable work across implementation, PR preparation, code review, test generation, regression checks, release notes, and deployment verification.
• Design clear checkpoints for human judgment, with appropriate review, access controls, and recovery paths.
• Create shared workflows and practical documentation, coach teammates, and make adoption part of everyday engineering.

Keep improving how we build

• Evaluate new models, coding agents, orchestration approaches, and developer tools through hands-on experiments.
• Find creative uses of AI across the development lifecycle, including work the team currently handles manually or leaves undone.
• Measure improvements in delivery time, engineering effort, review burden, escaped bugs, and release reliability.
• Refine or replace workflows as the technology evolves. Own their ongoing usefulness, not just the initial setup.

Ship product across the stack

• Build and own production features across our TypeScript, Next.js, NestJS, and PostgreSQL stack.
• Develop APIs, integrations, background jobs, and reliable workflows across our commerce platform.
• Contribute to customer-facing AI capabilities, including tool use, context retrieval, and multi-step agent workflows.
• Make sound architecture decisions and debug problems from the user interface through backend services and data.
