Job summary

VDart Inc. seeks a hands-on Full Stack Engineer for a contract role in Mount Arlington, NJ. You will own features end-to-end across UI, business logic, and database in a legacy-modernization environment, including WPF desktop components and web technologies.

The ideal candidate has strong Classic ASP/ASP.NET, VB.NET/VBScript, JavaScript/jQuery, Oracle PL/SQL, and Redis caching experience, with onsite Tuesdays/Wednesdays. React/Node.js/PG/Mongo/Elasticsearch exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Title: Full Stack Engineer

Location: Mount Arlington, NJ (Hybrid)

Type: Contract

• Hands-on developer with proven Classic ASP, ASP.NET, VB.NET/VBScript, and JavaScript/jQuery experience who can maintain legacy applications and own features from the UI through business logic.
• Strong Oracle PL/SQL plus Redis or comparable caching experience, including database development and production troubleshooting; local for Tuesday/Wednesday onsite, with WPF support experience a plus.

Position Overview:

• Client seeking a hands-on Full Stack Engineer to maintain and enhance MedProID, its core healthcare-professional identity and database platform, and DLS, a WPF desktop application used by internal data operations staff.
• MedProID supports an Oracle database containing approximately 36 million healthcare-professional records. This engineer will own application changes from the user interface through business logic and the database, troubleshoot production issues, and support ongoing enhancements within the existing technology stack.
• Candidates must have direct production experience with Classic ASP, ASP.NET, VB.NET/VBScript, JavaScript/jQuery, Oracle PL/SQL, and Redis or a comparable caching solution. Modern React, Node.js, or Python experience alone will not meet the requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain MedProID features using Classic ASP, ASP.NET Web Forms/MVC, VB.NET/C#, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
• Read, write, and troubleshoot Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures, packages, triggers, views, and queries.
• Provide maintenance and enhancement support for the existing DLS WPF desktop application.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across the application, database, and caching layers.
• Own changes end-to-end, including development, testing, code review, and deployment support.
• Follow established Oracle coding, schema-design, change-control, and unit-testing standards, including utPLSQL.
• Prepare reviewed deployment scripts for individual database changes.
• Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews with the product team.
• Provide occasional after-hours support during releases or production escalations.

Required Qualifications:

• Several years of verifiable, hands-on production experience supporting applications within the required stack.
• Strong Classic ASP and ASP.NET experience across the frontend and middle tier.
• Hands-on VB.NET and VBScript development experience.
• JavaScript and jQuery experience.
• Strong Oracle PL/SQL development and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Redis or a directly comparable in-memory caching layer.
• Ability to independently deliver changes across the UI, business logic, and database.
• Experience maintaining established applications and resolving production issues.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Local availability for onsite work every Tuesday and Wednesday.
