Rohirrim, Inc. is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to mentor engineers, provide technical direction, and drive generative AI-powered web applications. The role splits roughly 50/50 between backend and frontend, owning features end-to-end from API design to UI polish.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment. Expect hands-on coding and opportunities to advance AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack or Software Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Nest.js/Node.js or a similar backend framework.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including writing queries and basic schema design.

Full Stack Engineer

Location: Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite in McLean, VA

Role Overview

We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help build and improve our generative AI‑powered enterprise web applications. The work is split roughly 50/50 between backend and frontend, and we're flexible on that split. You'll own features end to end, from APIs and database design to polished UI. You'll work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers. It's a hands‑on role with real ownership and plenty of room to grow your skills in AI/LLM application development.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Nest.js/Node.js, integrating with databases, LLM providers, and external systems.
• Develop frontend features in Angular/TypeScript that deliver intuitive, reliable user experiences.
• Implement generative AI features within Rohan, including LLM integrations, prompt design, and retrieval‑augmented workflows, with guidance from senior engineers.
• Write efficient, maintainable SQL queries and help design database schemas for new features.
• Own features from design through deployment, including testing, code reviews, and production support.
• Take part in system design discussions, contributing ideas and learning how AI capabilities are architected into the platform.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable AI‑driven solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack or Software Engineer.
• Hands‑on experience with Nest.js/Node.js or a similar backend framework.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including writing queries and basic schema design.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling; Azure DevOps a plus.
• Interest in generative AI and eagerness to build LLM‑powered features.
• Experience integrating with LLM providers/APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI).
• Exposure to prompt engineering or retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG).
• Experience with Angular specifically.
• Experience in enterprise SaaS, government, or aerospace/defense environments
