Job summary

Rohirrim is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to mentor engineers, provide technical direction, and drive development of Gen AI-powered enterprise applications. The role splits ~50/50 backend/frontend with end-to-end ownership, from APIs and databases to polished UI, and close collaboration with senior engineers, PMs, and UI/UX designers.

Ideal candidates are hands-on, enjoy fast-paced product development, and want growth in AI/LLM app development within an enterprise SaaS context.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack or Software Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Nest.js/Node.js or a similar backend framework.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including writing queries and basic schema design.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling; Azure DevOps a plus.
• Interest in generative AI and eagerness to build LLM-powered features.
• Experience integrating with LLM providers/APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI).
• Exposure to prompt engineering or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Experience with Angular specifically.
• Experience in enterprise SaaS, government, or aerospace/defense environments

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Nest.js/Node.js with databases, LLMs, and external systems.
• Develop frontend features in Angular/TypeScript for intuitive UX.
• Implement generative AI features with LLM integrations and retrieval workflows.
• Write efficient SQL queries and help design database schemas for new features.
• Own features end-to-end from design to deployment, including testing and reviews.
• Contribute to system design discussions on AI capabilities in the platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable AI solutions.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help build and improve our generative AI‑powered enterprise web applications. The work is split roughly 50/50 between backend and frontend, and we're flexible on that split. You'll own features end to end, from APIs and database design to polished UI. You'll work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers. It's a hands‑on role with real ownership and plenty of room to grow your skills in AI/LLM application development.
