Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a leading financial institution's technology and data team. The role is onsite in Charlotte, NC, working across .NET backend services and Angular front-end components within a modern, cloud-native stack.

The position is an 18-month W2 contract with benefits, and sponsorship is not available. You will contribute to scalable enterprise applications, ETL pipelines, and CI/CD pipelines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency with MS SQL Server, Spark, and Spark-SQL.
• Strong backend development with .NET 6/7+, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Angular 13+, TypeScript, Jasmine/Karma.
• Familiarity with JBPM or similar workflow tooling.
• Experience with DevOps tooling including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Docker, OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes, and YAML deployments.
• Testing experience with xUnit, NUnit, Playwright, iCEDQ, and Octane.
• Solid understanding of architecture patterns including SOLID, Mediator, DI, Repository, and microservices or modular monoliths.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult on large-scale software initiatives and contribute to long-term planning.
• Analyze challenges and drive resolution with compliance and delivery goals.
• Build and maintain scalable backend APIs/services using .NET and JBPM workflows.
• Develop performant Angular UI components with TypeScript and RxJS.

One of the country's largest financial institutions is searching for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their technology and data team onsite in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will serve as a key contributor building and scaling enterprise-grade applications across a modern, full-stack environment. You'll work across .NET backend services, Angular front-end components, JBPM workflows, and Spark-based data pipelines, while partnering closely with both domestic and offshore teams. This exciting opportunity to work with a leading enterprise engineering team begins as an 18-month W2 contract based onsite 5 days per week at the Charlotte, NC offering competitive benefits and the potential to extend or convert to permanent employment.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives and contribute to long-term strategic planning
• Analyze multifaceted engineering challenges and drive resolution in alignment with functional policies, compliance requirements, and delivery goals
• Build and maintain scalable backend APIs and services using C#/.NET 6/7+, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, and JBPM workflows
• Develop performant, modular Angular (13+) UI components leveraging TypeScript, RxJS, and component-based architecture
• Design, enhance, and optimize Spark ETL/ELT pipelines including data transformations, quality rules, and performance tuning
• Write high-coverage unit tests using xUnit/NUnit for backend and Jasmine/Karma for Angular with minimal supervision
• Author test scripts using Playwright and iCEDQ, and manage test cases within Octane
• Containerize applications and manage deployments on OpenShift (OCP), including build configs, routing, and scaling strategies
• Apply Kubernetes concepts including pods, deployments, services, config maps, secrets, and horizontal scaling
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions with YAML-based configurations and quality gates
• Optimize SQL queries, database structures, and ETL load patterns for performance and long-term reliability
• Strategically collaborate across teams and groups, including coordination with offshore team members

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of professional, consulting, military, or educational experience
• Proficiency with MS SQL Server, Spark, and Spark-SQL for data pipeline development and query optimization
• Strong backend development experience with .NET 6/7+, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, and RESTful API design
• Hands-on experience with Angular 13+, TypeScript, and Jasmine/Karma for front-end development
• Familiarity with JBPM or similar workflow/BPM tooling
• Experience with DevOps tooling including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Docker, OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes, and YAML deployments
• Testing experience with xUnit, NUnit, Playwright, iCEDQ, and Octane
• Solid understanding of software architecture patterns including SOLID principles, Mediator, Dependency Injection, Repository Pattern, and microservices or modular monolith design
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Familiarity with Azure services including App Service, Key Vault, and Storage
