DESE Research, Inc. seeks a talented Full-Stack Developer to join a multidisciplinary team. You will work on data-intensive web applications with Python backends, React/TypeScript front ends, and LLM capabilities.

The role involves designing, building, testing, and deploying across the stack in a hybrid Huntsville setting. The ideal candidate has 2–10 years of software development experience, proficiency in Python, Flask or Django, React, and databases (PostgreSQL/NoSQL).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 2–10 years of relevant software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python and web development concepts (HTTP, REST APIs, JSON).
• Familiarity with Flask or Django; front-end basics in HTML/CSS/JavaScript or TypeScript; React experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain features across Python backends (Flask/Django) and React/TypeScript front ends.
• Develop and maintain APIs, user interfaces, background services, and data-processing workflows.
• Work with relational, NoSQL, and vector databases (PostgreSQL, ArangoDB, Qdrant).
• Integrate LLM capabilities using OpenAI SDK, vLLM, RAG patterns, embeddings, and vector search.
• Build data pipelines for terabyte-scale datasets and use Celery for background processing.
• Containerize apps with Docker and deploy in Kubernetes; contribute to CI/CD pipelines and testing.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate progress via documentation and demos.
