Job summary

Kuwait Coders is hiring a full-time, fully remote software developer to work across the full stack on client projects, primarily customizing Odoo modules in Python and building web frontends. You will integrate payment gateways and external APIs, and ship features end to end while collaborating directly with the founder.

The role requires 2–5 years of software development, strong Python/Odoo experience or Django/Flask background, and comfort with JavaScript/HTML/CSS.

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills with Odoo experience or Django/Flask willingness to learn Odoo.
• Comfortable with JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience integrating REST APIs.
• Self-directed: manage tasks from description to deployment without hand-holding.
• Good written English; Arabic a plus but not required.
• Overlap of at least 4 hours with Kuwait working hours (UTC+3).

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Odoo modules (Python) for client implementations.
• Build and maintain web frontends and customer-facing portals (JavaScript, OWL).
• Integrate third-party APIs and payment gateways.
• Debug and rescue existing implementations and fix projects others couldn't finish.
• Write clean, maintainable code and document what you build.

Kuwait Coders (q8coders.com) is an official Odoo partner based in Kuwait, specializing in complex ERP implementations, custom module development, and integrations. We build custom Odoo solutions, web portals, and mobile apps for clients in construction, retail, healthcare, and F&B including integrations with Kuwaiti payment gateways (KNET, MyFatoorah, Tap) and AI-powered automation. We are a technical, founder-led team: the people who sell the work are the people who build it.

The Role

This is a fully remote, full-time position. You will work across the full stack on client projects — customizing Odoo modules in Python, building web frontends and portals, integrating APIs (payment gateways, third-party systems), and shipping features end to end. You will work directly with the founder and have real ownership over the projects you deliver.

What You\'ll Do

• Develop and customize Odoo modules (Python) for client implementations
• Build and maintain web frontends and customer-facing portals (JavaScript, Odoo\'s frontend framework / OWL)
• Integrate third-party APIs: payment gateways, government systems, external services
• Debug and rescue existing implementations — a significant part of our work is fixing projects other vendors couldn\'t finish
• Write clean, maintainable code and document what you build
• Communicate progress clearly and flag blockers early — we\'re remote, so proactive communication matters

What We\'re Looking For

• 2-5 years of professional software development experience
• Strong Python skills; hands-on Odoo development experience is a big plus (or solid Django/Flask experience and willingness to learn Odoo quickly)
• Comfortable with JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and PostgreSQL
• Experience integrating REST APIs
• Self-directed: you can take a task from description to deployed feature without hand-holding
• Good written English; Arabic is a plus but not required
• Overlap of at least 4 hours with Kuwait working hours (UTC+3) — this is an easy fit from India (Kuwait is 2.5 hours behind IST)

Nice to Have

• Odoo certification or published Odoo modules
• Mobile development experience (Flutter / React Native)
• Experience with payment gateway integrations
• Familiarity with AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and automation workflows
