Description
Climate and Environment CE is developing and implementing the corporate-wide environmental management system EMS. This application, Enviro Portal, when completed, will support The City's environmental compliance risk management and performance improvement. Three modules of the Enviro Portal have been implemented that track Environmental Non-Conformities, Compliance Obligations, and Environmental Aspects and Objectives. This web application has been implemented using The City's .NET framework and standards. We are seeking a developer to design and develop the fourth module - Context of the Organization, which will include Issues and Interested Parties. The developer needs to be a self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills and client relations experience.

• It is more a web than mobile framework role.
• A well-rounded experience with someone that has knowledge and expertise in all the areas mentioned in the essential skills.
• Someone with a GIS background would be a great addition and very desirable as they will be working with the internal team on GIS components, visual mapping, mapping coordinates, etc.

Top Skills Details

1. Five plus (5+) years' experience in designing, building, testing, implementing, and documenting custom software development;
2. Five (5) years' experience with web and mobile frameworks such as Backbone.js, React, and jQuery;
3. Five (5) years' experience in UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) design discipline;
4. Five (5) years' in database technologies, database, and scripting such as Oracle or SQL Server;
5. Five (5) years' experience with industry standard programming languages such as C#, ASP.NET, and JavaScript using Visual Studio;
6. A GIS background would be a great addition and very desirable as they will be working with the internal team on GIS components, visual mapping, mapping coordinates, etc.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

1. Previous experience with Restful APIs along with integrating with REST and SOAP services;
2. Previous experience with Git, Azure, and DevOps is desired;
3. Previous experience with reporting tools such as Active Report and/or Power BI;
4. Previous experience with testing tools such as HPQC;
5. The ability to mentor other developers;
6. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and tight deadlines;
7. Ability to work independently;
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with personnel at all levels.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $75.00/hr.
