Blue Sky Innovative Solutions is seeking a qualified full-time contracted Full Stack Developer III (Senior) for a new opportunity to support our government customer.

LOCATION

Charlottesville, VA

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Full Stack Developer III (Senior) provides ongoing support for Federal Government client. They will be a core builder on the engineering team, writing production code that real users depend on every day. You will collaborate directly with analysts, end users, and government stakeholders to turn requirements into working software - and you will have the autonomy to own features end to end.

Essential Functions, Duties, And Responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5+ years of full-stack developer experience demonstrating proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React) and backend languages (Java, Python, Node.js).
• Demonstrated experience developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures.
• Experience deploying applications to AWS or AWS GovCloud, with hands‑on Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and infrastructure-as-code.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field (four additional years of specialized experience may substitute).

HOURS OF OPERATION

The worksite location will be performed predominantly at the Government offices during core business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday on a regular 40 hour per week schedule unless otherwise required by the Manager.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Must have the use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public using the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. No significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.
