Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain highly scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot in a cloud-native environment. You will lead API design, data integration, and resilient architecture while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will implement robust testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices to streamline deployments and ensure security and performance across enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable microservices with Java/Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, API gateways, and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong testing mindset with JUnit/Mockito; familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps.

Position Summary/Job Description:

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, secure, and resilient microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native technologies, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Architect and implement robust backend solutions following microservices architecture, domain-driven design, event-driven patterns, and distributed systems best practices.
• Lead the design, development, security, consumption, and troubleshooting of RESTful APIs and integrations across enterprise applications, third-party platforms, and SaaS solutions.
• Develop reusable backend components and services, ensuring adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Implement and optimize API gateways, service discovery, load balancing, caching, messaging, and resiliency patterns to support highly available enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate multiple products, platforms, and services while ensuring seamless data flow, system interoperability, and data consistency.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end tests using JUnit, Mockito, and related testing frameworks to maintain high-quality, reliable software.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis using logging, monitoring, tracing, and performance profiling tools in distributed environments.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices to streamline application delivery, deployments, and release management.
• Develop and enhance responsive, user-friendly web applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS, ensuring optimal user experience and application performance.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend teams to implement frontend features, integrate APIs, and deliver cohesive end-to-end solutions while maintaining reusable React components.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
