Job summary

DAn Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to support a Drupal-based collaboration platform used across government missions.

You will work with users and leadership to capture requirements, influence architecture, and deliver secure web applications on Linux with PostgreSQL. You will join an established team, mentor junior developers, participate in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and build pipelines, while improving platform performance across multiple deployments.

DAn Solutions is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to support the development and enhancement of a collaboration software platform built on the popular open-source Drupal Content Management System and other open-source technologies.

This platform supports multiple deployments, each providing critical capabilities across a broad range of government missions.

In this role, you will engage directly with users and customer leadership to understand how the platform supports their operations, capture and validate requirements, influence architecture and design decisions, and demonstrate new capabilities.

You will work alongside an established team of experienced developers and system support professionals, with opportunities to collaborate with senior technical peers, mentor junior developers, and contribute improvements to development processes, build pipelines, automated testing, and the overall engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance a collaboration software platform built using Drupal and other open-source technologies.
• Support multiple deployments of the platform across different mission environments.
• Work directly with users and customer leadership to gather requirements, understand operational needs, and validate proposed functionality.
• Participate in system architecture and design discussions, providing technical recommendations to improve platform capabilities.
• Design, develop, and maintain secure and reliable web applications.
• Develop frontend application functionality using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Support web applications deployed on Linux-based servers.
• Work with relational database systems, including PostgreSQL.
• Participate in source code management, continuous integration, and DevOps workflows.
• Demonstrate new functionality and enhancements to users and customer stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, and system support personnel to troubleshoot issues and improve platform performance.
• Assist and mentor junior developers while learning from experienced technical team members.
• Identify and implement improvements to development environments, build pipelines, automated testing, and software delivery processes.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• Experience with frontend development using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Proficiency developing secure, reliable web applications hosted on Linux servers.
• Experience working with relational database systems, such as PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of and hands-on experience with Git workflows, continuous integration, and DevOps practices.

Education and Experience

• Nine years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related field with comparable scope and responsibilities.
• A bachelor's degree may substitute for four years of experience.
• A master's degree may substitute for six years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
• Experience developing PHP-based web applications.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Vue, Angular, or React.
• Experience working with NoSQL or document-oriented databases, including Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and user experience design.
• Experience applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices.
• Strong technical documentation and presentation skills.

Additional Information

This position follows a hybrid schedule requiring approximately 2-3 days on-site per week. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain the required security clearance and polygraph.

Salary Range Disclaimer: The posted salary range represents the good-faith minimum and maximum compensation DAn Solutions expects to pay for this position. The position may be filled at different Labor Category (LCAT) levels depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and applicable contract requirements. Final compensation within the posted range will be determined based on the applicable LCAT and factors including education, relevant experience, certifications, and other required qualifications.
