Job summary

Brafton is a leading content marketing firm offering remote, full-time work with a US-based team lead and cross-office collaboration. The role focuses on delivering robust frontend solutions and CMS integrations across WordPress and Drupal.

You will collaborate closely with designers, consultants, and clients, translating designs into high-quality, accessible frontend code, and leveraging AI tools to plan project tasks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional frontend development with HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript.
• 3+ years building and customizing WordPress sites, including Gutenberg blocks.
• Solid PHP (7.x/8.x) to read, debug, and extend WordPress/Drupal codebases.
• Practical Drupal experience—theming, content architecture, or module work.
• Familiarity with WordPress hooks/filters and LAMP-stack conventions.
• Strong communication in a remote, client-facing environment.
• Familiarity with Claude Code AI tools.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Build custom WordPress themes, Gutenberg blocks (ACF or React-based), and plugins from provided designs
• Translate mockups into responsive, accessible frontend code using HTML, CSS/SASS, and modern JavaScript
• Work within Drupal for client sites that require it — theming, content types, and module-level troubleshooting
• Diagnose and fix frontend and backend issues across a variety of CMS platforms
• Collaborate directly with designers, consultants, and occasionally clients to solve problems and refine implementations
• Use AI tools like Claude Code to plan out and execute aspects of a large project.

What You Bring

Must-haves

• 5+ years of professional frontend development — strong HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript fundamentals
• 3+ years building and customizing WordPress sites, including Gutenberg block development (ACF or React-based blocks)
• Solid working knowledge of PHP (7.x/8.x) — enough to read, debug, and extend WordPress/Drupal codebases confidently
• Practical Drupal experience — theming, content architecture, or module-level work
• Familiarity with WordPress hooks/filters and general LAMP-stack conventions (MySQL, Git)
• Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating in a remote, client-facing environment
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude Code.

Nice-to-haves
