Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a Full Stack Developer (RDTE) to join our Dahlgren, VA team. You will contribute to the entire lifecycle of software, from planning to deployment, across Python, JavaScript, Java, and .NET ecosystems.

The role involves Docker-based workflows, Agile ceremonies, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Key requirements include 3–5 years’ experience, cloud familiarity, GitLab CI/CD, and strong customer-facing skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience resolving customer issues, including cloud-based environments.
• Ability to serve as a technical consultant for internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in developing and testing web applications with analytics and reporting.
• Experience using GitLab for version control and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-facing experience.
• Experience with JavaScript development.
• Ability to validate code correctness and deliver stable changes.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and maintain high-quality application code and tests for web interfaces.
• Apply knowledge of Python (Flask), JavaScript (Vue.js), Java (Spring Boot), and .NET; support Docker workflows.
• Demonstrate SQL/PL/SQL and Oracle DB understanding for development and troubleshooting.
• Perform basic Linux system support and scripting in Bash.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues including customer-facing support.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders across development, testing, deployment.
• Participate in 2-week sprint cycles, daily stand-ups, sprint grooming, and planning.
