Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our team. This position allows flexible teleworking but requires living within driving distance of Arlington, VA to attend the office at least once a week.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing both client-side and server-side architecture, building responsive front-ends, writing APIs, and collaborating with data scientists on large datasets within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or relevant field
• Must have professional certification(s) in a related field of web development and/or front-end/back-end disciplines
• 3+ years of JavaScript development experience (client-side and server-side)
• 5+ years of experience with full stack development
• 5+ years of experience and skill writing coding languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, SQL, C#)
• Experience with UI/UX design is desired
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, jQuery)
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Node.js)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (Python/C#) and backend frameworks (Flask, Django)
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, Teradata), web servers (Apache) and UI/UX design
• Experience in designing and integrating different API architectures (REST, gRPC)
• Server management and deployment for environments (Azure, AWS)
• Experience with Jira Software Cloud, Confluence Cloud, Atlassian Guard administration

Secondary Requirements

• Knowledge of message brokers (e.g. Kafka, EventHub), version control (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub) and Websockets


• Knowledge of architectural patterns (e.g. Monolith, Microservices, Serverless, Service Mesh)


• Familiarity with Agile and/or Scrum


• Knowledge or familiarity with Databricks


• Experience supporting agile teams from a PMO perspective


• Familiarity with Agile project management vs traditional \"waterfall\" project management
