Full Stack Developer – Bowhead

Bowhead is seeking a Full Stack Developer for our upcoming proposal effort in Dahlgren, VA. The role will support the entire hardware/software lifecycle, including planning and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer issues through effective diagnosis, resolution, or implementation of investigative tools to increase productivity for Azure/AWS cloud environments.
• Act as a consultant and subject‑matter expert for internal stakeholders in Engineering, IT, and customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles.
• Develop and maintain high‑quality software code and automated tests (unit, functional, performance, acceptance) for a web interface application that integrates data, analytics, and reporting components.
• Use GitLab for project management (version control, CI/CD, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and ensure changes in code are correct and bug‑free.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Work in a customer‑facing role.
• Work with JavaScript, Typescript, Vue.js, Python Flask, Java Spring, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaaS solutions including system virtualization, hybrid cloud, security, monitoring, and logging.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, VLANs, peering, load balancing).
• Experience with web technologies: Vue.js, Python Flask, Java Spring, and HTML.

Physical Demands

Security Clearance Requirements

Must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance. US citizenship is a requirement for this contract.
