Job summary

JSR Tech Consulting is recruiting a Full Stack Developer (Backend Focus) for a major investment firm. This is a remote role, and candidates must be located in the United States. C2C and W2 arrangements are accepted. The engagement is expected to last 12 months or longer.

The role emphasizes backend development with strong Java, Spring, and React skills, and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience with Java-related technologies on Unix or Linux.
• At least 5 years of experience with backend technologies such as JBoss, Spring Boot, and REST.
• At least 3 years of experience with client-side technologies including React, JavaScript, JSON, and REST.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Technical skills in Python, Java, JavaScript, Spring CLI, Maven, microservices, multithreading, concurrency, parallel processing, distributed systems, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and design methodology.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Node.js, MEAN or MERN stack, relational and non-relational data structures, MongoDB, BPM tools, AWS SQS, and Kinesis.
• Knowledge of API consumption and development, SOA patterns, REST, JSON, SOAP, XML, JDBC, and MySQL.
• Understanding of testing concepts and tools, including unit, interface, end-user, functional, non-functional, and automated testing; Agile methodologies; and TDD.
• Awareness of accessibility, secure coding, web application security, and DevSecOps.
• Knowledge of security concepts including authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signatures, JWT, SSL, web service proxies, firewalls, SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect, and OAuth 2.0.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as branching strategies, GitHub, Bitbucket, Subversion, and Jenkins, as well as SDLC monitoring and logging.
• Knowledge of AWS core services, including CloudWatch and CodeDeploy.
