Position Summary

Patrick J. McGovern Foundation (PJMF) is seeking a full‑time Full Stack Developer to develop AI solutions for a thriving, equitable, and sustainable future. The role is remote, based in the United States, with a compensation range of USD120,000–145,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborative Development: Work closely with engineering, data science, and DevOps teams to shape AI‑based products, contribute to product architecture, UI/UX design, infrastructure deployment, and overall quality.
  • Nonprofit Consultation Support: Partner with nonprofit clients to explore data and technology solutions, explaining technical concepts clearly and empathetically.
  • Open Source Contribution: Contribute to internal and community‑led open‑source projects to extend PJMF’s technology reach.
  • Product Integration: Develop and deploy full‑stack, cloud‑based solutions that integrate ML model predictions into user‑friendly interfaces, ensuring reliability, safety, and scalability.
  • User‑Centric Design: Implement intuitive interfaces for AI‑backed web and mobile applications, prototype, test, and iterate based on user feedback.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to address front‑end, mobile, communication, outreach, and resource needs.
Candidate Profile & Skills
  • Minimum 3+ years of professional full‑stack development experience, with proven expertise in UI development and backend integration.
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front‑end frameworks such as React or ReactNative.
  • Strong programming experience in Python; core codebase is primarily Python‑based.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), source control (GitHub), issue tracking (Jira).
  • Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL systems (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Working knowledge of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform (preferred).
  • Ability to create low‑fidelity and high‑fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes; experience with Figma or equivalent tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Effective team player who thrives in a high‑performance, startup‑like environment.
  • Adaptability to learning new technologies and methodologies quickly.
  • Alignment with social progress and passion for leveraging technology for societal outcomes.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship not available.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: USD120,000–145,000 per year.
