Job summary

Bowhead seeks a Full Stack Developer (RDTE) to join our Dahlgren, VA team. The role supports the entire hardware/software lifecycle, including planning, development, deployment and testing of web interfaces with analytics and reporting capabilities.

You will work with Python (Flask), JavaScript (Vue.js), Java (Spring Boot) or .NET, and containerized workflows using Docker; basic Linux scripting, SQL/Oracle, and a customer-facing support mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience resolving customer issues in cloud-based environments.
• Ability to serve as a technical consultant for internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in developing and testing web applications that integrate analytics and reporting capabilities.
• Experience using GitLab for version control and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-facing experience.
• Experience with JavaScript development.
• Ability to validate code correctness and deliver stable, low-defect changes.
• Experience in Agile environments with daily stand-ups, sprint grooming, and planning sessions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain high-quality application code and automated tests for web interfaces with analytics and reporting capabilities.
• Apply working knowledge of Python (Flask), JavaScript (Vue.js), Java (Spring Boot), and/or .NET; support Docker-based workflows.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle databases for development and troubleshooting.
• Perform basic Linux system support and scripting tasks using Linux and Bash.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve application and environment-related issues; provide customer-facing support when required.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support development, integration, testing, and deployment activities.
• Participate in 2-week sprint cycles, daily stand-ups, sprint grooming, and sprint planning in an Agile delivery environment.
