Zoom is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Developer to own end-to-end features across frontend and backend, including AI-enabled workflows. You will work on Java/Spring Boot backends, modern frontend with React/TypeScript, and data stores, in a hybrid model in San Jose.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship scalable solutions, leverage AI tools, ensure security and performance, and contribute to a fast-paced, growth-oriented culture.

Competenze

• 5-8 years of software development experience with full stack expertise.
• Hands-on proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience building frontend apps with React and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases; familiar with NoSQL databases.

What You Can Expect

As a Full Stack Developer at Zoom, you will take end-to-end ownership of features and services that reach users worldwide, from design through deployment, monitoring, and production support. This role spans backend engineering, frontend development, and applied AI, offering you the chance to build meaningful, scalable solutions across the full technology stack. You will work with autonomy and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners who value craft, curiosity, and continuous improvement. This is a hybrid position that requires on-site presence 2-3 days per week at our San Jose, CA office. Remote arrangements are not available for this role.

About The Team

You will join a team of engineers building systems that support Zoom's platform at scale, working across backend services, intelligent APIs, and AI-enabled workflows. The team values end-to-end ownership, technical rigor, and a collaborative approach to solving complex problems. You will partner closely with product, design, and infrastructure partners to ship features that make a real difference to how people connect and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, TypeScript), REST and GraphQL APIs, and relational and NoSQL databases.
• Design and maintain robust backend services and APIs with a focus on performance, security, and long-term reliability.
• Build and integrate AI and LLM-based solutions including AI agents, RAG pipelines, tool calling, and prompt-based workflows, with working knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Own features from end to end, covering design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack, including frontend, backend, APIs, and database layers.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.

What We're Looking For

• 5-8 years of software development experience with proven full stack expertise.
• Hands-on proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Experience building frontend applications with React, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, or equivalent frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases, data modeling, and query optimization, plus familiarity with NoSQL databases.
• Working knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, RAG, prompt engineering, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Practical experience with AWS or comparable cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, OAuth2, RBAC, and application security fundamentals.
• Solid grasp of system design, distributed systems, scalability principles, and engineering best practices, with the ability to drive features independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings

Minimum: $98,900.00

Maximum: $228,700.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed, Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
