Job summary

Zoom is seeking a Full stack Software Engineer to grow our App & Strategic Integration team. You will help build scalable, cloud-native web applications across the Zoom ecosystem, delivering seamless experiences in Meeting, Webinar, Chat, and Phone.

You’ll own end-to-end development, write clean code with TDD, collaborate with product, design, and QA, and explore real-time audio/video features in the browser while keeping users at the center.

Qualifications

• Experience with Node.js, Ruby on Rails or Django/Python in web apps.
• Strong background in building single-page and progressive web apps.
• Solid SQL and relational database design knowledge.
• Hands-on with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker/Kubernetes/Terraform).
• Experience deploying on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Familiar with MVC, MVVM or microservices architectures.

Responsibilities

• Scale distributed web applications and evaluate architectural trade-offs.
• Own end-to-end development of the BuiltByZoom progressive web app, from prototype to production.

What You Can Expect

We’re growing our App & Strategic Integration team and looking for a Full stack Software Engineer who thrives in building scalable, cloud-native web applications. You’ll work across the full stack to support the Zoom Apps ecosystem and help shape seamless in‑meeting experiences across Zoom Meeting, Webinar, Chat, and Phone.

Responsibilities

• Scaling distributed web applications, making architectural trade‑offs, and applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns.
• Owning the end‑to‑end development of the BuiltByZoom progressive web application, from prototyping to production.
• Writing clean, maintainable code, and championing Test‑Driven Development to ensure robust, well‑tested features.
• Partnering with product managers, designers, and QA to translate requirements into timely, high‑quality releases.
• Iterating quickly on real‑time audio/video communication solutions in the browser to validate new ideas.
• Fostering a supportive team environment through open communication, respect, empathy, and accountability.
• Staying current with emerging technologies and advocating for standards that improve performance, reliability, and developer productivity.
• Keeping the end user front of mind and striving for seamless experiences that fulfill the mission to Deliver Happiness.

What We’re Looking For

• Proficiency in Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or Django/Python web frameworks with extensive practical experience.
• Expertise in developing single‑page and progressive web applications.
• Excellent SQL skills and familiarity with relational database design.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform for containers and orchestration.
• Experience deploying and operating services on AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.
• Comfortable applying MVC, MVVM, and microservices architectures.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities, clear written and verbal communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Salary Range

Base salary or on‑target earnings: $87,600 – $186,000. Base salary, bonus, and equity value are considered in the total direct compensation package. Starting pay will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
