Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field or foreign degree equivalent.
• 3 years of experience deploying ML models into production, including evaluation and monitoring.
• 3 years building and operating scalable software/microservices exposing AI via APIs/SDKs.
• 3 years creating automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, and observability for AI/ML releases.
• 3 years designing data pipelines for model training and inference, with data validation and versioning.
• 3 years authoring technical docs for algorithms, system architecture, and runbooks.

What you can expect

As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing critical general web based and AI-embedded applications for Zoom. You will collaborate closely with teams from AI, Meeting, Phone, Big data, Data Engineering, and Cloud-Native to build business features of Zoom products. The ideal candidate will majorly focus on back-end development and have experience interacting with the front-end.

About the team

The AI application engineering team is dedicated to building cutting-edge products, and providing tools for customers in sales, contact centers, training, management and other fields.

Our products are highly AI embedded with LLM analysis, ASR, and image processing. These products are user-facing, friendly and robust web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, research, and platform teams to clarify project objectives, data constraints, and success metrics;
• Design, develop, and maintain AI/ML algorithms and production services spanning AI agents, computer vision, natural language processing, and recommendation systems;
• Implement end to end model lifecycle -data ingestion, feature engineering, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement;
• Ensure reliability and quality by conducting code reviews, writing automated tests (unit/integration), debugging failures, and addressing performance regressions; and
• Document code, models, data pipelines, and operational runbooks for internal reuse, audits, and external stakeholders.

What we're looking for

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, a related field, or a foreign degree equivalent, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Must have 3 years of experience in the following:

• 3 years of experience developing and deploying machine learning models (including CV, NLP, or recommendation) into production environments, including model evaluation and post release monitoring;
• 3 years of experience building and operating scalable software or microservices that expose AI functionality via APIs or SDKs and integrating those services with existing systems;
• 3 years of experience creating and maintaining automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability (logging/metrics/alerts) to support reliable AI/ML releases;
• 3 years of experience designing and implementing data pipelines for model training and inference, including data validation, transformation, and versioning; and
• 3 years of experience authoring and maintaining technical documentation for algorithms, system architecture, and operational procedures.
• Telecommuting work arrangement permitted: position may work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Position does not require domestic or international travel.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$184,030.00

Maximum:

$275,400.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
