Job summary

Bowhead seeks a Full Stack Developer to join our team supporting the NSWC Corona program in Norco, California. This position is 100% onsite and requires a Secret level security clearance or higher.

Responsibilities include administering and supporting daily IT operations, implementing security controls, and collaborating with the ISSO to maintain accreditation. A DoD environment and ServiceNow experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a DoD environment with RMF, STIGs, and DISA tools.
  • Hands-on ServiceNow experience in an enterprise IT environment.
  • Proficiency in managing virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper‑V).
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or similar).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Education or certifications aligning with DoD cybersecurity requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly progress and status reporting.

Overview

Bowhead seeks a Full Stack Developer to join our team supporting the Program Office for NSWC Corona in Norco, California.

This position is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities
  • Systems Administrator administers and supports daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.
  • Installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation.
  • Cyber WorkForce (CWF) directives are maintained and up to date with respect to certifications
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services.
  • Lead Systems Administrator trains staff on software applicable to their position, assists customers with information technology, monitors system configuration (hardware and software), and provides instruction on computers and applications.
  • Answering questions about installation, operation, configuration, and customization.
  • Applying advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures.
  • Specific support consists of troubleshooting hardware, software, and network related issues encountered by users.
  • Software support includes, but not limited to Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and various specialty engineering and scientific development tools.
  • Installation of new software releases, system upgrades, evaluation and installation of patches and to resolve software related issues and Information Assurance Vulnerabilities (IAVs).
  • Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of the organizational mailbox to ensure that all users receive timely support in response to their requests for assistance.
  • Maintain and develop IT related procedures required to support the organization.
  • Support also includes working with the organizations Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for achieving system accreditation.
  • Provide recommendation to future IT needs of the organization.
  • Maintain data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in the preparation of a monthly progress and status report.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow in an enterprise IT environment.
  • Experience in DoD environments including RMF, STIGs, and DISA tools.
  • Proficiency in managing virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper‑V).
  • Strong skills in PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A high school degree, or a GED, and more than seven (7) years of relevant system administration and five (5) years of experience installing patches, performing system updates, managing server and storage processing strategies and providing a wide range of system administration functions, OR
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of relevant system administration, and three (3) years of experience installing patches, performing system updates, managing server and storage processing strategies and providing a wide range of system administration functions, OR
  • A master's degree in a relevant field and two (2) years of relevant system administration and experience installing patches, performing system updates, managing server and storage processing strategies and providing a wide range of system administration functions.
  • Security+ CE (required for IAT Level II compliance)
  • Microsoft, Red Hat, or VMware certifications (e.g., MCSA, RHCSA, VCP), ITIL Foundation, CISSP, or other cybersecurity certifications a plus.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the minimum Secret level.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

Targeted salary range is $120,000 to $135,000 annually based on qualifications and experience.
