Job summary

ECS is seeking a Full Stack Developer to work with data scientists and analysts to rapidly design, implement, test, and deploy applications and cloud-based platforms capable to tackle complex analytical tasks using large datasets. This position works for the US Postal Services' Inspector General's Office (OIG) at our Arlington, VA office.

Note: This position is contingent upon additional funding and requires a Public Trust background investigation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or relevant field.
• 3+ years of JavaScript development experience (client-side and server-side).
• 5+ years of experience with full stack development.
• 5+ years of experience and skill writing coding languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, SQL, C#).
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery).
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Node.js).
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (Python/C#) and backend frameworks (Flask, Django).
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, Teradata), web servers (Apache) and UI/UX design.
• Experience in designing and integrating API architectures (REST, gRPC).
• Server management and deployment for environments (Azure, AWS).
• Knowledge of message brokers (Kafka, EventHub), version control (Azure DevOps, GitHub) and Websockets.
• Knowledge of architectural patterns (Monolith, Microservices, Serverless, Service Mesh).

Responsibilities

Please Note: This position is contingent upon additional funding and requires a Public Trust background investigation. This entails an in-depth background check & either US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card) status.

Responsibilities Include

Note: This position requires working onsite 4 days a week at our USPS customer site in Arlington, VA.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually

Required Skills

• Professional certification(s) in a related field of web development and/or front-end/back-end disciplines
• Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or relevant field
• 3+ years of JavaScript development experience (client-side and server-side)
• 5+ years of experience with full stack development
• 5+ years of experience and skill writing coding languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, SQL, C#)
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, jQuery)
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. Python/C#) and backend frameworks (e.g. Flask, Django)
