Job summary

Apolis is seeking a Full Stack Developer for an onsite, long-term contract in Alexandria, VA. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with React and back-end development using Python and/or Node.js, plus strong cloud and security-focused practices.

Required skills include React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Azure and/or AWS, SQL/NoSQL, and a demonstrated ability to implement CI/CD and secure DevSecOps workflows. An active TOP SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Strong expertise in React and back-end development with Python and/or Node.js.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Experience applying DevSecOps practices across SDLC, CI/CD, and security testing.
• Active Security clearance required or eligibility to obtain TOP SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications; propose modernization strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and ensure security/compliance alignment.

Job Description

• Have 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, with strong expertise in React and back-end development using Python and/or Node.js.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications using modern front-end frameworks and back-end technologies. Experience with .NET/C# is preferred but not required.
• Possess strong front-end and cloud development skills, including React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, and experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Apply DevSecOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, automated testing, security scanning, and secure application development.
• Troubleshoot, debug, enhance, and optimize existing applications while providing recommendations for future-state architecture and modernization efforts.
• Maintain robust, up-to-date technical documentation and ensure solutions align with security and compliance requirements.
• Maintain an active Security certification.

Preferred Background

• Experience with React Python development in cloud-native environments.
• Experience with React Node.js full stack development.
• Familiarity with .NET/C# development and supporting legacy applications is a plus.
• Exposure to containerization, cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code, and modern DevSecOps toolchains is highly desirable.
