Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer, Data to design, build, test, and operate a scalable data platform powering Starlink’s global internet system. You’ll own end-to-end data pipelines, ingest/process/store/query petabyte-scale data, and collaborate across architecture and product teams.

The role emphasizes ownership, problem solving, and applying first-principles thinking to deliver high-impact solutions for SpaceX’s Starlink program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math, physics, or a scientific discipline OR 2+ years of professional software experience in lieu of a degree
• 1+ years of experience in full stack development, software engineering, data engineering, or data science

Responsibilities

• Develop a highly reliable and scalable enterprise data platform empowering users to ingest, process, store, and query at petabyte-scale
• Create new functionality and end-to-end data pipelines that improve how the business at SpaceX operates
• Collaborate with peers on architecture, design, and code reviews
• Build prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify technical constraints
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development
• Deep dive into business problems, find efficient solutions and apply first principles thinking
