Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and test full-stack components and APIs. You will build interfaces using microservices as part of a system modernization and collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into technical designs.

The role requires 4+ years of software engineering experience, expertise in Java and JavaScript, and strong cloud/microservices skills. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with flexibility for candidates with equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree; or 4 additional years in lieu of degree.
• Enterprise software design, implementation, and deployment expertise.
• Proficiency with JavaScript and frontend frameworks (Angular/React).
• Strong Java experience with Spring Boot or similar.
• Experience in Scrum environments and CI/CD tooling.
• Hands-on with JSON, YAML, XML; REST APIs and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test full-stack components and APIs.
• Build interfaces using microservices for modernization.
• Translate requirements into technical designs with estimates.
• Leverage cloud platforms (GCP or similar) and standard tools.
• Define, implement, and maintain unit/integration tests.
• Deliver production-ready code in short iterations.
• Collaborate with engineering/QA to optimize the dev pipeline.
• Work with security teams to ensure required controls.
