Job summary

Murray Company, based in Cypress, CA, seeks an Associate Programmer to build and launch modules within our proprietary tech ecosystem. You will support operations by creating tools to digitize timesheets, field ops, project mgmt and asset tracking.

The ideal candidate has a BS in CS and 2+ years’ full-stack experience with React, Node.js, Express, and SQL Server, plus the ability to translate business needs into software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a full-stack developer; construction industry experience a plus.
• Frontend, backend, database, and API integrations with React.js, Node.js, Express, SQL Server, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with domain modeling and business logic development.
• Ability to translate operational requirements into software solutions.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure API development.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain modules in React.js using functional components.
• Extend backend APIs with Node.js and Express.
• Integrate applications with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Collaborate on data modeling, API design, and UI/UX flow improvements.
• Support development across multiple domains: timesheets, field workflows, asset tracking, and project processes.
• Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and usability.
• Learn and implement new tools and APIs as needs evolve.
• Ensure secure application functionality including authentication and data protection.
• Participate in testing, debugging, and validation of features.
