Job summary

Intuitive Surgical seeks an early-career platform developer to design, build, and maintain an internal AI-powered platform with frontend and backend components. Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on Python experience
• React + TypeScript experience
• Familiarity with REST API design and client-server architecture
• Experience with cloud providers (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP considered)
• Docker and containerized deployments experience
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar)
• Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI) in at least one project
• Understanding OAuth 2.0 / OIDC authentication flows
• Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders and own features end-to-end

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain both the frontend and backend of a new internal AI-powered platform
• Build and maintain integrations between the platform and cloud services, AI APIs, and internal data sources
• Write clean, tested, and well-documented code across the full stack (Python backend + React/TypeScript frontend)
• Contribute to architectural discussions with senior engineers and think beyond the feature
