Job summary

Capital One in Chicago is seeking a Full Stack Engineer 4 to lead and build large-scale AI-enabled systems within People Tech. You’ll design, implement, and deploy multi‑agent workflows, partner with security and governance, and mentor engineers.

You’ll use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, TypeScript, and work with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and various data stores to deliver enterprise HR solutions. This role emphasizes architectural consistency, open source tooling, and continuous refactoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead LLM-driven capabilities for HRTech at enterprise scale.
• Design, build, and deploy autonomous agentic AI solutions and multi-agent workflows.
• Collaborate with security, governance, and risk teams to ensure secure AI capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish design/operational standards.
• Mentor other members of the engineering community and stay current with tech trends.
