Job summary

Stealth Startup seeks a Full Stack / AI Engineer with 3-4 years of experience to help build the intelligence layer of modern manufacturing. This zero-to-one role owns undefined challenges and produces production AI agents used by sales teams, operators, and plant managers.

You’ll work across the full stack—from frontend and backend to AI agents, integrations, infrastructure, and product experiences—visiting customer sites to translate workflows into requirements and delivering end-to-end AI

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Experience building and shipping production-grade applications across frontend and backend.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI APIs, AI agents, or AI-powered applications.
• Ability to take ownership of a feature from concept to prototype to production.
• Comfortable working across UI, backend services, APIs, databases, and AI workflows.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer plants or offices to understand workflows and translate challenges into product requirements.
• Build end-to-end AI agents for workflows like quoting, pricing, inventory management, procurement, and scheduling.
• Plan and build integrations with ERP and CRM systems.
• Prototype new product features, test with real customers, and iterate based on feedback.

We're looking for a Full Stack / AI Engineer with 3-4 years of experience to join our team and help build the intelligence layer of modern manufacturing.

This is a zero-to-one role where you'll take ownership of meaningful, ambiguous problems and build production AI agents used daily by sales teams, operators, and plant managers.

You'll work across the full product stack—from frontend and backend development to AI agents, integrations, infrastructure, and product experiences.

What You'll Work On

• Visit a customer plant or office to understand existing workflows and translate real-world challenges into product requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to take ownership of a feature or problem from concept → prototype → production.
• Comfortable working across different areas of the stack, including UI, backend services, APIs, databases, integrations, and AI workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate straightforward tasks while maintaining strong engineering judgment.
• Ability to explain complex technical systems clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and product-thinking skills.
• Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate.
• Comfortable working in person and collaborating closely with the team.
