Job summary

The Society for Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks a full-time OB/GYN specialist to deliver comprehensive reproductive health care, including prenatal care and gynecologic services, in the El Paso Metropolitan Area.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, teaching and potential involvement in quality improvement projects, with on-site duties and call coverage as part of a busy academic clinical program.

Qualifications

• Board eligibility or board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with accredited OB/GYN residency.
• Current, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the relevant state and eligibility for hospital privileges.
• Clinical competence in general obstetrics, gynecology, and basic gynecologic surgery.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills to collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Commitment to evidence-based medicine, patient-centered care, and adherence to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.
• Ability to work in a busy on-site clinical environment in the El Paso Metropolitan Area, including call schedules as required.
• Interest in teaching, quality improvement, or clinical research is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive reproductive health care including prenatal care and gynecologic exams.
• Evaluate and manage patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Engage in teaching or academic activities if needed.
